Automated Anti-Copy Exam Seating & Spatial Distribution

Engineered an automated matrix seat distribution engine that disperses students across mixed grades and rooms, mathematically ensuring no two adjacent or diagonal seats share the same exam paper or grade.

Bottlenecks & Operational Constraints

Conducting school and board term exams required staff to manually shuffle roll numbers across classrooms to ensure students from the same class were not seated beside or behind one another. This manual process took days and was prone to spatial errors.

Architectural Solution & Implementation

We built an automated 2D matrix spatial dispersion algorithm within eSchool ERP. Administrators input room dimensions and enrolled grades; the system assigns seats diagonally and alternatingly across grades, generating printable desk stickers, hall entrance roll plans, and teacher attendance sheets in seconds.

Key Technical Highlights:

01
Grid graph coloring algorithm ensuring non-adjacent identical grade placement.
02
Dynamic classroom capacity adaptors handling irregular bench and hall seating layouts.
03
Vector PDF rendering engine producing print-ready desk labels and supervisor roll sheets.

Measurable Production Outcomes

Completely eliminated exam hall cheating opportunities between same-grade peers.
Saved over 40 hours of manual teacher prep time per exam term.
Instant generation of hall entry charts and supervisor rolls.
